Outdoor Leadership Education, Minor

Introduction

The Outdoor Leadership Education Minor prepares students to be instructors and teachers in outdoor adventure residential camps, outdoor experiences in K-12 educational settings, and on shorter non-technical outdoor adventure trips.  Students who successfully complete this minor will be ready to lead participants on shorter term residential outdoor adventure settings. They will develop tools in creative problem solving, anti-oppression, and methods of inquiry that better prepares them to meet life’s challenges in graduate school or in any profession they choose to pursue.

The Outdoor Leadership Education Minor develops students’ outdoor teaching skills.
