Introduction
The Applied Outdoor Leadership Minor prepares students to be instructors on technical multi-day expeditions. Students who successfully complete this minor will be ready to work in seasonal outdoor adventure positions. They will develop tools in creative problem solving, anti-oppression, and methods of inquiry that better prepares them to meet life’s challenges in grad school or in any profession they choose to pursue.
The Applied Outdoor Leadership Minor develops students’ technical skills, character, and expedition behavior. It prepares them to be strong instructors for seasonal work in the outdoor adventure industry and to be more prepared to face life’s challenges.
