Introduction
The journalism minor at Pacific focuses students on hands-on reporting experiences for reporting in a digital-first world of news.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- apply emotionally-intelligent interviewing skills, including media ethics and inclusivity when working with the public, including marginalized populations,
- employ composition skills of argumentation and editing appropriate for reporting the news;
- produce digital news packages that engage audiences with relevant facts, visuals and technical components, and the complexity of issues addressed.
