CHEM 362 - Introduction to Toxicology 4 credit(s) Intro to Toxicology is designed for students interested in understanding the fundamental principles of toxicology, which is the study of adverse effects of chemicals on living organisms. This coures provides a comprehensive overview of toxicological/pharmacological concepts including adsorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of toxic substances. The course also covers sources of toxic substances, mechanisms of action, and impacts to human and ecological health. Students will gain a solid foundation in toxicology and its relevance to various fields, including chemistry, medicine, public health, envrionmental science, and pharmacy. Can be repeated for credit one time. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 300 Corequisite(s): CHEM 400
