PHIL 273 - World Philosophy and Religion 2 credit(s) Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to describe the primary tenants of key philosophical and religious traditions of Nepal or of an alternative destination of a winter term travel course, and their primary ritual and art historical manifestations. By the end of the course, students will be able to recognize and to discuss some of the ways in which art, architecture, religious ritual and cultural practice bring textual sources of religious and philosophical traditions to life within specific historical and geographical settings. This course is required in order to enroll in the January travel course to Nepal or elsewhere, but can also be taken as a standalone course. Offered: Fall, alternate years
Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing or above (30 or more completed credits)
