OL 330 - Expedition Behavior

Investigates the optimal interpersonal behaviors necessary for group travel in the backcountry. Students will study the specific communication, conflict management, and goal setting techniques that enhance a group’s chances of success. Also, social systems and cultural aspects of both historical and current forms of expedition travel will be compared, contrasted, and applied to group problem solving and decision making in the field. Drops or withdraws from the class will be responsible for accrued expenses. Contact Program Coordinator for more details.
Prerequisite(s): OL 205  and OL 206  each with a minimum C grade
Corequisite(s): OL 399  (Outdoor Adventure Semester + fees)
