OL 358 - Sport Climbing Instructor

Students develop the ability to sport lead-climb on bolted routes, manage risk, perform vertical transitions and interventions, and increase capacity to find flow state while in the vertical environment. Students learn how to build sport climbing anchors, evaluate equipment, and grow as a sport climber. Investigation of sustainability concerns in local climbing areas and how to increase equity, diversity, and inclusion in the climbing community will be researched and addressed. Drops or withdraws from the class will be responsible for accrued expenses. Contact Program Coordinator for more details. 
Prerequisite(s): OL 107 OL 205 , and OL 206 .
Corequisite(s): OL 158  and OL 399  (Outdoor Adventure Semester + fees)
