DPT 790 - Applied Evidence-Based Practice 1-2 credit(s) This course is the culmination of the students’ evidence-based practice curriculum, focusing on advanced skills in applied evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and professional communication. Students will develop a clinical question related to a patient/client encountered during their ongoing clinical rotation. Students will conduct a thorough literature search for the best available evidence pertaining to the diagnosis or treatment related to the identified clinical question. Students will then critically appraise the evidence, and integrate patient values and clinical expertise to formulate comprehensive and informed responses to the clinical question. This comprehensive approach allows students to acquire a deep understanding of evidence-based practice and develop the necessary skills to communicate effectively and apply their knowledge in real-world clinical scenarios. Pass/No Pass. Course Offering: Spring, annually
