DPT 633 - Musculoskeletal Exam/Int for Extremities 3 credit(s) Lecture and lab course covering etiology, pathology, examination, and intervention related to conditions of the upper and lower extremities. Examination schema are presented in a regional approach and include relevant procedures to screen for medical disease. Intervention techniques include passive movement (i.e., mobilization/non-thrust and manipulation/thrust techniques), neurodynamic techniques, therapeutic exercise, and other clinical techniques. Physical therapy intervention is directed at resolution of specific impairments and activity limitations/participation restrictions, but also addresses contributing factors and prophylaxis.
