PHIL 308 - Artificial Intelligence 2 credit(s) An introduction to the philosophical foundations of artificial intelligence, this course will take up conceptual, philosophical, and ethicalissues concerning the nature, possibility, and implications of artificial intelligence, neural networks, and machine learning. We will investigateclassic ideas from the study of artificial intelligence as well as modern developments in the philosophy, cognitivescience, and computer science of designing, constructing, and assessing artificial cognition.
