KINES 241 - Mental Skills Training 2 credit(s) Provides a broad overview of the mental skills needed to improve outcomes in a variety of performance-related domains (e.g., music, sport, theater, speech and debate). Students will learn the theories behind and how to use a variety of mental skills including self-talk, imagery, concentration, goal setting, among others. The impact of mental skills usage on concepts such as arousal and anxiety regulation, intrinsic motivation, self-confidence, and performance behaviors (among others) will be explored.
