OL 110 - Introduction to Expedition Planning 2 credit(s) Provides students with the tools necessary for a group expedition in a rugged wilderness area outside of the United States. The focus of this course is to develop students’ judgment, decision-making, and critical thinking skills so they may more effectively participate in expeditionary trips. Students will also be exposed to regional cultural norms and intercultural communication. Students will begin developing a detailed plan(including risk management) and making local contacts in the area of their upcoming expedition. Offered: Offered in Fall.
