EDLL 320 - Applied Human Development & Psychology 3 credit(s) Introduces teacher candidates to an understanding of how learning occurs and to developmental issues of learners in their classrooms: behavioral, physical, person, social, socio-linguistic, and cognitive. Relates psychology to all areas of teaching and learning. Equips teacher candidates with strategies for understanding strengths and needs of individual learners and how to plan developmentally, culturally, and linguistically responsive instruction to support learners’ strengths and needs, including those learners with exceptionalities associated with disabilities, giftedness, and English language learning.
