2credit(s) This course provides a study of anxiety and pain management techniques used in dental care. Components of pain, pain control mechanisms, topical anesthesia, local anesthesia, and nitrous oxide-oxygen sedation are included. The student will practice skills in a supervised clinical laboratory setting.
