Major Requirements: 62-66 Credits
Each major in Business Administration must complete the core requirements: 8 credits in economics, 4 credits in statistics, and 34 credits of accounting and business courses, including the senior capstone. Each student works with an academic advisor in the College to design a customized selection of elective courses that best fit the interests of the student. Students must select electives to achieve a specific area of concentration, for example, in accounting, finance, international business, management, and marketing. A minimum 2.0 grade point average is required in all business and economics courses; only grades of C- or above (or “Pass”) may be used to satisfy College requirements. The senior capstone, BA 490, must be completed in residence at Pacific. Take All of the Following Courses:
Areas of Concentration
While completing the BA electives requirement, a student must complete coursework that satisfies a specific area of concentration within Business Administration as outlined below. Only one BA elective course may count towards satisfying two concentrations. Accounting Concentration: 20 Credits
Management Concentration: 16 Credits
Finance Concentration: 16 Credits
Marketing Concentration: 16 Credits
International Business Concentration: 16 Credits
Senior Capstone
Students majoring in Business Administration are required to complete the BA 490 - Senior Seminar as their capstone. It will consist of a team-based experiential project. Concurrent enrollment with BA 405W -Business Strategy is required. |
