Introduction
The journalism minor at Pacific prepares students for diverse career options in media. With an emphasis on hands-on reporting, the journalism curriculum prepares students with fundamental interview, research and reporting skills and applies those to a variety of mediums — print, social media, podcasting and video production

Minor Requirements: 20 Credits
All of the Following: 8 Credits
Electives: 12 Credits
8 credits must be upper division - no more than 4 credits of MEDA 150 and/or 450
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate successful and sensitive interviewing skills.
- Demonstrate an understanding of various story structures and develop advanced storytelling skills.
- Demonstrate an understanding of legal and ethical contours for journalists and media platforms.
- Produce print and broadcast media that engage and educate audiences.
- Create engaging and professional content in deadline-driven contexts.
