SOCWK 634 - Animal Assisted Human Health

Introduces human animal bond theory and develops policy practices of integrating animals as a therapeutic intervention into a variety of practice settings. Specific attention is paid to link violence and the ethics of animal assisted human health practice. This course reviews several animal species which participate in animal assisted human health, however, pays special attention to canine partners. Animal behavior is a central portion of the program.
