HSC 410 - Org Behavior & Human Resource Management 3 credit(s) This course is an overview of organizational theory and the impact of decision-making on the behavior of people within healthcare organizations. Topics will include change management, leadership, motivation, group behavior, conflict management, decision-making, power, organizational structure, business ethics, team building, and communication within organizations. Students will examine the role of the human resources management functions in the maintenance of a productive workforce within the organization. Students also will engage in case study analysis, discussion and role playing as an application of learning. Prerequisite(s): Admission to BHS program.
