DANC 226 - Intermediate Contemporary Dance I 2 credit(s) Contemporary Dance is an intermediate level technique class taught progressively from lessons taught in DANC 126 and DANC 127 . It focuses on strengthening dancers’ movements skills through increased flexibility, strength, endurance; musical awareness; develop an understanding and appreciation of contemporary dance; learning original choreography and understanding pertinent anatomical vocabulary needed to develop strong contemporary technique. The 0-2 option is only available to Dance majors and minors. May be repeated for credit. Core Requirement(s): Counts toward core requirement: Artistic Practice and Creative Process. Prerequisite(s): DANC 126 and DANC 127 .
