In addition, basic pharmacokinetics concepts are emphasized to develop theories or equations that can be used to predict the optimum dosing interval, predict plasma and tissue concentrations, estimate possible accumulation of drugs or metabolites, explain drug interactions, and predict drug toxicity related to a dosage regimen.
