4credit(s) A study of the structure and function of the genome. Students will use various software tools to identify genes in a bacterial genome sequence and to study the gene products. Microbial metagenomes from environmental samples will be analyzed. Includes a laboratory experience. Prerequisite(s):BIOL 314, and two fo the following courses, BIOL 313, BIOL 315, and BIOL 317.
