BA 453 - Probabilistic Decision Models 2 credit(s) This course introduces several commonly used modeling techniques and tools used by managers to determine solutions to complex problems. Students will learn to determine which techniques are appropriate for solving various types of problems. The emphasis of this course will be placed on formulating stochastic or probabilistic (vs deterministic) models and using computer spreadsheet applications (i.e., Excel) to solve them. Modeling techniques in this class include decision analysis, queuing, simulation, and forecasting. Prerequisite(s): BA 350 and MATH 207 both with minimum grade C-; or Junior standing or above (60 or more completed) and MATH 226 with minimum grade C-.
