ENV 200 - Sustainability Science 4 credit(s) Sustainability Science probes interactions between global, social, and human systems, the complex mechanisms that lead to degradation of these systems, and concomitant risks to human well-being. Understanding the near-term and long-term effects of these actions on the quality of the environment requires a broad view of the science on how the earth functions without human intervention, and how society has changed these functions to support itself. Includes laboratory and field experiences. Core Requirement(s): Counts toward core requirements: Natural Sciences (2010-17 catalogs); Scientific Perspectives of the Natural World, Sustainability. Prerequisite(s): ENV 100 (or concurrent enrollment).
