ENGW 305 - Research Methods in English 4 credit(s) In addition to developing higher-order skills of discipline-specific research-archival, secondary, references-and argumentation, this course prepares English majors for a range of possible careers. Students will be introduced to the resumes, CV, and cover letters genres; master the conventions of professional discourse through social media, email, and conference networking; and develop an intellectual agenda that encompasses the capstone thesis as well as future projects, grants and fellowship applications. Prerequisite(s): Junior standign (60 credits or above); ENGW 180 , ENGW 181 or ENGW 182 ; declared Creative Writing or English Literature major or minor.
