CHP 415 - Interprofessional Competence

Provides guidance and facilitation in promoting development of essential skills and attitudes to function effectively in an interprofessional healthcare community. All College of Health Professions first-year students will attend to increase and diversify their knowledge in four areas; interprofessional communication, team dynamics and professionalism, roles and responsibilities, and values and ethics for interprofessional practice. Students will also fulfill an experiential component: They will function as an interdisciplinary team, evaluating a case throughout the course. This experience will facilitate the integration of didactic learning in the four previously mentioned areas. Pass/No Pass.
