ARTHI 372 - Contemporary Art 4 credit(s) This course is intended to help students better understand the complex world of contemporary art, through a survey of art movements since 1950. The varied social, political, technological, and artistic contexts of contemporary art will be examined, as well as the various critical and theoretical models used to describe it. Core Requirement(s): Counts toward core requirement: Analyzing and Interpreting Texts. Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or above (60 or more completed credits) and ENGW 180 , ENGW 181 or ENGW 182 , each with minimum grade of C-.
