ENGR 100 - Engineering First-Year Seminar 4 credit(s) A required seminar for first-semester first-year engineering students that introduces students to college academic life and the skills needed for success in that life. It is a humanities-based course in its content, intended to engage students in the task of personal and cultural critique, and designed to provide a common learning experience for the entire first-year class. Students will also experience the educational advantages of having a diversity of teaching methods and approaches both within and among various sections of the seminar; although cross-sectional themes, texts, and events may be adopted by current HUM 100 faculty, the course will be designed and taught in a manner most appropriate to students intending to pursue the engineering major. Does not meet Humanities core requirement. Offered: Fall
