ASTR 301 - Astrophysics Problem-Solving 4 credit(s) An introduction to some of the questions explored in the field of astrophysics, and the basic techniques used for answering them. Topics will include the formation and life cycles of stars and galaxies, the formation of compact objects like black holes, orbital calculations, and the evidence for dark matter. Includes a project of student’s choice to connect astrophysics knowledge to another area of interest. Offered: Alternate years
