OPT 535 - Functional Neuroanatomy and Neurobiology 2.5 credit(s) This course will introduce you to gross and microscopic anatomy of the brain and spinal cord. Emphasis will be on learning the vasculature, blood-brain barriers, cerebrospinal fluid, central control mechanisms, neurology of the extraocular muscles, and vestibular and cerebellar functions. While learning the anatomical components are necessary for basic understanding, this course will also point out clinical implications of dysfunction in the structures discussed.
