DANC 310W - Experiential Anatomy for Movers 4 credit(s) This course concentrates on understanding one’s anatomy by experiencing it in action through a hands-on approach to learning how the bones, joints, muscles, and fascia propel us in movement. We will explore how to screen for muscular imbalances and learn injury prevention techniques. Students will leave this course with knowledge, insight, and an understanding of how our whole body is an integrative system that communicates to support healthy alignment, efficiency, and ease of movement in physical activity including dance, and daily living. Core Requirement(s): Writing in the Discipline Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing or above (30 or more completed credits).
