DPT 501 - Human Anatomy II 3 credit(s) Advanced study of the gross structure and histology of the human body. Special emphasis is placed on the musculoskeletal, nervous, and reproductive systems. The course is organized by regions of the body, with the emphasis on the gross anatomy of each region. In addition, the microstructure specific to the tissues discussed will be studied. The course has a lecture and a laboratory component. The lab sessions will involve regional dissection of cadavers, and parallel the information covered in the lecture material. DPT 501 is a study of the lower extremity, including bones, joints, muscles, nerves, blood vessels and connective tissues, as well as back, pelvis and perineum. Course Offering: Spring only, annually
