DPT 511 - Clinical Biomechanics II 4 credit(s) Designed to provide the student with the biomechanical basis for understanding normal and pathological movement of the lower extremities, the spine, posture, and gait parameters with introductory analysis. The discussion of each region includes sections on normal biomechanics and the application of biomechanics to pathological motion. In addition, each section incorporates units on range of motion, muscle testing, stretching, biomechanical considerations in the design of exercise programs and injury prevention, and palpation. DPT 511 also continues to build upon the understanding of tissue mechanics, loading, and failure that is discussed in DPT 510. Course Offering: Spring, annually
