Basic pharmacokinetics concepts are emphasized to develop theories or equations that can be used to design the optimum dosing regimen, predict plasma concentrations, estimate possible accumulation of drugs or metabolites, explain drug interactions, and predict drug toxicity related to a dosage regimen.
