Offers students further opportunity to explore the creative process while building skills related to a particular studio or theme. Emphasis is on developing independent thinking through deliberate practice. The properties of materials associated with paint, print, photo, ceramics, glass, metal, and other media are explored in different sections of this course. Sustainability (SU) sections include readings and projects that connect art practice to the context of sustainability. See the department website or the advising center for section descriptions.
